Why Maid-Rite?

Your questions, answered by Maid-Rite’s CEO.

What is a Maid-Rite?

Our one and only Maid-Rite sandwich is a special cut and grind of low in calories 100 percent fresh ground beef, made to order with our secret combination of delicious seasoning. It is cooked to perfection, and then served on a warm bun. Our customers love to savor Maid-Rite sandwiches time and time again.

What areas of the country are you targeting for growth in the year ahead?

We are looking to grow stronger in the central and southwestern United States, where we are already well known and have extensive franchisee support capabilities. In that same geographic area, we have more than 60 Maid-Rite restaurants.

What types of franchisee candidates do you search for?

Maid-Rite seeks out individual owner-operators who take pride in their work, enjoy being around customers, and who are established and active in their communities. Franchisees should understand the importance of friendly, gracious hospitality. In addition, store employees should be able to look to the franchisee for leadership. Finally, each Maid-Rite franchisee, in the true spirit of capitalism, must keep a sharp eye on the bottom-line.

What does it cost to open a Maid-Rite restaurant?

A typical Maid-Rite franchise in a leased, 1,300-square-foot facility, including the franchisee fee, equipment, millwork, inventory, furniture, fixtures and working capital, costs between $250,000 and $350,000. For a freestanding restaurant, building and land costs are additional expenditures.

Normally, initial out-of-pocket cash needed by a franchisee ranges from $50,000 to $125,000 to obtain bank financing for the remaining start-up costs, which corresponds to the total cost of the items mentioned above.

From the time that I sign my franchise agreement, how long before I can be operating my restaurant?

Depending on site availability, and with our turnkey franchisee package, an existing facility can be operational within 60 to 150 days.

If I am interested in owning and operating a Maid-Rite franchise, what should I do first?

Contact us by phone, fax or e-mail to receive additional information about owning and operating your very own Maid-Rite restaurant.

How can I send Maid-Rites as a gift?

Maid-Rite is not shipping Maid-Rite sandwiches or its Party Pack to maintain quality and food safety standards.
